Only 4.5% Of Americans Have Been Given Both Doses Of COVID-19 Vaccine, As Of February 17, 2021

Listen to audio of text

January 31, 2020: Donald Trump first banned travel from China. A move criticized by the left (including Democrats and the "MSM").

March 11, 2020: Travel from Europe was banned by Trump.

March 15, 2020, our former president declared a national emergency, making funds available to state governors.

March 17, 2020: Then President Trump asked Americans to stay home when possible.

April 4, 2020: President Trump encouraged the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, now proven to be effective in treating the virus. Again, a move heavily criticized by the left (potentially causing thousands of deaths across America).

May 15, 2020: Trump announced Operation Warp Speed. "Using the resources of the federal government and the U.S. private sector, Operation Warp Speed (OWS) will accelerate the testing, supply, development, and distribution of safe and effective vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics to counter COVID-19 by January 2021."

September 16, 2020: Former president Donald Trump releases a COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Strategy.

September 23, 2020: “While top U.S. health officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, testify before a Senate committee about the coronavirus response, President Donald Trump continues to claim a vaccine is just around the corner.” CBC News: The National

October 22, 2020: Then President Trump announces a vaccine “within weeks” during the final presidential debate.

November 20, 2020: The FDA received the first emergency authorization approval application for a COVID-19 vaccine..

December 11, 2020: The FDA issued the first emergency use authorization for COVID-19.

February 18, 2021: As of February 17 only 12% of the US population has been given 1 dose and only 4.5% given both doses (see reference below). Ohio is ranked 33 of the 50 states having administered only 76.37% of 2,350,375 doses distributed to the state. This is a state problem, what have the governors been doing for (almost) twelve months? We have had at least 2 vaccines available since November of 2020, thanks to our former president, Donald Trump. Biden is not to blame (yet) our governors are (at this point). New Mexico's governor Michelle Lujan (D) is the closest to administering 100% of the doses distributed at 98.5% of vaccines administered that were distributed to her state.

How many more Americans will have to die to COVID-19?

Here's a shout out to Ohio Governor Mike Dewine (R)!
